In the Sverdlovsk Region, the Uralbiopharm company intends to build a new production complex, investing 5 billion rubles in the project.

Dmitry Ionin, Deputy Governor and Head of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region, announced Uralbiopharm's plans to set up production facilities in the Titanium Valley Special Economic Zone. The volume of investment in this project is estimated at 5 billion rubles. Currently, the Regional Ministry of Investment assists the company in preparing documents for obtaining the status of a SEZ resident. Uralbiopharm is expected to produce 47 international nonproprietary names (INN) of medicines, as well as 53 names of biologically active additives (BAA) at the new production facility. The production complex will be located on a 4-hectare plot of land.

As part of the international exhibition Innoprom-2025, an agreement was signed between Uralbiopharm, the Titanium Valley SEZ, and Sima-Invest LLC on the implementation of a project in the industrial and manufacturing sector at the Patrushi SEZ site. According to the agreement, Sima-Invest LLC will provide the pharmaceutical company with a land plot for construction.

In addition, at the Innoprom-2025 platform, Uralbiopharm signed an agreement with the Ural Federal University (UrFU) on a strategic partnership in the development and production of socially significant medicines. An agreement was also signed with the Russian University of Chemistry and Technology (RCTU) named after D.I. Mendeleev on cooperation in scientific, technological, and innovative projects in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. The key areas of cooperation will include joint scientific, engineering, and educational initiatives, the development and patenting of new technologies, and participation in government programs.

At the end of June 2025, the Board of Directors of JSC Uralbiopharm, whose assets, previously owned by former State Duma deputy Malik Gaisin, were transferred to the state in 2023, approved a program for the sale of non-core assets. The list includes 22 objects worth a total of more than 63.5 million rubles. The most valuable assets are the production facility for cosmetics in the Sverdlovsk region (21.9 million rubles) and 36,000 shares of OAO Ural Plant of Household Appliances (18 million rubles). The sale of all assets is scheduled for the third and fourth quarters of 2025.

The decision to seize the assets of Uralbiopharm and the commercial bank Vyatich, which were owned by Malik Gaisin, was made by the Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg in August 2023, following a lawsuit filed by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation. The Prosecutor's Office argued that Gaisin had illegally acquired the assets through his business activities during his tenure as a member of parliament. Gaisin, on the other hand, claimed that he had openly owned the assets for over 30 years and had never faced any claims from the government. His appeal against the first-instance court's decision was rejected in October 2023.

Rosimushchestvo plans to privatize the company by 2027. In June 2024, Mikhail Maltsev, who previously served as the CEO of Vagran LLC, a company specializing in the wholesale trade of agricultural raw materials, animals, and textile raw materials, was appointed as the CEO of Uralbiopharm. According to SPARK-Interfax, Maltsev was replaced by Alexander Serebrennikov in late 2024, who holds the majority stake in AVK-Alliance LLC, a company engaged in the wholesale trade of pharmaceutical products.

This large-scale project opens up significant opportunities for cooperation with AquilonStroyMontazh, a company specializing in the supply and maintenance of industrial refrigeration equipment that is critical for the pharmaceutical industry.

Given the specific nature of pharmaceutical production and the need to maintain strict temperature conditions, AquilonStroyMontazh's involvement can be multifaceted. In particular, the company can provide the supply and installation of chillers, which are essential equipment for cooling special equipment, climate chambers, and pharmaceutical components. Chiller units are crucial for the production of medications that require precise temperature control, as well as for maintaining optimal storage conditions for donor blood. Additionally, they are critical for maintaining the necessary temperature range in large pharmaceutical warehouses, ensuring the safety of products.

To ensure a stable microclimate in the rooms where the drugs are stored, AquilonStroyMontazh can offer precision air conditioners, which are characterized by high accuracy in maintaining the set parameters. This equipment guarantees the invariability of storage conditions, which is especially important for pharmaceutical factories, where even minor fluctuations in temperature and humidity can affect the quality and safety of products.

As a solution for the climatization of various zones of the production complex, AquilonStroyMontazh can offer VRV and VRF installations. These multi-zone systems provide individual temperature control in each zone and are equipped with coarse and fine filters, which guarantees air disinfection. This is of utmost importance for medical facilities of any type, where air purity is a critical factor.

To ensure the storage of various products, including raw materials and finished goods, AquilonStroyMontazh can offer refrigeration chambers and freezing units. Freezing units, in particular, are necessary for storing vaccines and drugs that require deep freezing. Additionally, the company can provide isothermal container systems for transporting medical products, ensuring stable temperature throughout the journey.

For storing large volumes of products, AquilonStroyMontazh can design and build central refrigeration rooms that provide optimal conditions for long-term storage. Finally, for particularly sensitive products that require strict temperature and humidity control, the company can offer systems with controlled parameters that guarantee the safety and effectiveness of pharmaceuticals.

Thus, AquilonStroyMontazh has all the necessary experience and competencies to provide a full range of services for the supply, installation, and maintenance of industrial refrigeration equipment required for the implementation of the Uralbiopharm project. The collaboration between the companies will enable the creation of a modern, efficient, and safe production facility that meets the highest standards of the pharmaceutical industry.
