In Sosnovsky district, not far from the village of Poletaevo, the implementation of a project for the construction of a large distribution center for the Pyaterochka chain of stores has started. Investments in the project are being made by Ural Logistics, which has confirmed that preliminary work is being carried out on its territory.
The new logistics hub is designed for storing food products and products sold in the Pyaterochka network. Its introduction will optimize logistics routes and make it easier for local producers to access retail shelves. According to the General Director of Ural Logistics Makar Bogatov, the launch of the facility is scheduled for the final quarter of 2026.

The implementation of the project promises significant economic benefits for the region: the creation of about a thousand new jobs and an increase in tax revenues to the regional budget. In terms of its size, the new complex near Poletaevo will surpass the existing Chizhik distribution center in Sargazy by about five times.
This is not just a warehouse, but a modern logistics hub equipped with advanced technologies for storing and handling cargo. The company plans to introduce automated warehouse operations management systems( WMS), robotic systems for sorting and moving goods, as well as intelligent product quality control systems. Special attention will be paid to maintaining the necessary temperature regime for perishable products, which will ensure their freshness and compliance with sanitary standards all the way from the manufacturer to the consumer.
In addition, the new distribution center will become an important element in the development of the agricultural sector of the Chelyabinsk region. Local farmers and producers will have direct access to the largest retail network, which will allow them to expand their markets and increase production volumes. It is planned to develop a special program to support local suppliers, including preferential terms of cooperation and assistance in product promotion. Thus, the construction of the Pyaterochka hub will become an incentive for the development of the region's economy and improving the standard of living of the population.
The construction of the Pyaterochka logistics center in the Chelyabinsk Region opens up broad prospects for companies specializing in industrial refrigeration equipment. The need to create optimal storage conditions for a wide range of food products, from perishable vegetables and fruits to frozen semi-finished products, creates a significant demand for modern refrigeration solutions.

For potential contractors, this is an opportunity to offer a comprehensive approach that includes the design, supply, installation and maintenance of refrigeration systems. Companies that have experience working with large logistics facilities and are able to offer solutions that meet the highest standards of energy efficiency and environmental safety will gain a competitive advantage. An important aspect is the ability to integrate refrigeration equipment into the overall logistics center management system, providing centralized monitoring and control of storage parameters.
When participating in tenders for the supply of refrigeration equipment for the Pyaterochka logistics center, it is necessary to take into account the requirements for reliability and durability of equipment. Uninterrupted operation of refrigeration units is a critical factor for ensuring the safety of product stocks. Therefore, priority is given to solutions that provide redundancy of key nodes and systems, as well as the possibility of remote monitoring and diagnostics.
Prospects for cooperation are not limited only to the supply of equipment. Companies can offer services in the design and construction of cold storage rooms, taking into account the specific requirements for the temperature regime and storage conditions of various types of products. Modernization and maintenance of existing refrigeration systems will also be in demand, ensuring their optimal operation and reducing operating costs.

In December 2025, Copeland—a global leader in compressor manufacturing—unveiled a new development: a CO₂ scroll compressor featuring Dynamic Vapor Injection (DVI) technology. This milestone marked a significant step in the evolution of industrial refrigeration equipment, as the combination of the natural refrigerant CO₂ and an advanced vapor injection system opens up new possibilities for enhancing energy efficiency, reducing operating costs, and meeting environmental regulations.
