Cryogenmash JSC begins mass production of specialized tank containers designed for the transportation of liquefied helium at a temperature of -269 °C. This development, which meets both the requirements of the Russian Maritime Register and the international standards of IMDG/RID/ADR, is equipped with a telemetry system for remote monitoring. The availability of such equipment will enable Russia to successfully compete in the global market of cryogenic logistics solutions.
Cryogenmash JSC, a recognized leader in Russian cryogenic engineering, has announced its readiness to mass-produce advanced HELIUM CM 42 tank containers. These containers are designed for the safe transportation and storage of liquefied helium at an ultra-low temperature of -269 degrees Celsius, using any mode of transportation. The official presentation of this new product will take place at the upcoming St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

Sergey Yurov, Head of the Balashikha Urban District, emphasized that the start of mass production has allowed the Russian Federation to join a limited number of countries capable of independently creating such cryogenic tanks. Previously, only companies from the United States, Germany, and Japan were engaged in the production of similar high-tech tanks.
Technical specifications and compliance with standards
The design of the HELIUM CM 42 tank container is focused on maximum safety during the transportation of liquefied helium by road, rail, and sea. An important advantage of this design is its full compliance with not only the Russian requirements of the Shipping Register, but also the strictest international regulations for the transportation of dangerous goods (IMDG, RID, ADR). This opens up broad opportunities for integrating the container into global logistics chains.
Monitoring and management system
The integrated telemetry system is a key element of the new model, providing efficiency and control. It allows for real-time remote monitoring of the container's key operational parameters and performance indicators. This feature ensures continuous monitoring of the cryogenic system's condition, temperature settings, and pressure levels, significantly enhancing the reliability and predictability of the entire transportation process.
The launch of serial production of HELIUM CM 42 is an important step in the import substitution strategy and strengthening the position of Russian manufacturers in the global market of advanced cryogenic equipment.

In December 2025, Copeland—a global leader in compressor manufacturing—unveiled a new development: a CO₂ scroll compressor featuring Dynamic Vapor Injection (DVI) technology. This milestone marked a significant step in the evolution of industrial refrigeration equipment, as the combination of the natural refrigerant CO₂ and an advanced vapor injection system opens up new possibilities for enhancing energy efficiency, reducing operating costs, and meeting environmental regulations.
